Ever since they renovated the dorms, I can say that I love staying here. Shower is nice, kitchen is nice, floors could be better due to "finish". I like how much open space we have and the full length window in the living room.

Although Palmetto phase ||| has its problems, it's a pretty chill and quiet environment. I personally prefer the single dorm rooms but if you get a double, you at least have an opportunity to make a friend. I heard that Famu is updating the dorms for this fall so I am looking forward to moving in this year.

My experience at Phase III Apartments was not the best dorm experience when it came to the actual dorm. I met some life changing people, and had the best time when it came to the dorm activities, and having some nice roommates.

Phase III Apartments are a great starter to experience living with roommates and a common space. The rooms and common area is an ideal size and not too cramped. Finding compatible roommates really can make the college experience fun and lead to great opportunities.

I used to stay in Famu Village, by comparison, Phase III isn't as luxury but it is definitely right for someone who enjoys quiet. The distance from everything on campus is a little inconvenient so I would recommend having a car. If you live there it is cheaper to get a commuter meal plan because you will have a kitchen and can cook. Overall it is cozy the room is a decent size and the dorms are a little old but not too bad.

I have been a resident in Phase III since Fall 2018. Itβs in the back of campus and it is quiet. There is not much noise unless people are singing or playing in the hallway. Itβs a neat dorm very open with the hallways being open. It is very safe and I highly recommend it.

I have only resided in Phase 3 for about a month now. I do enjoy the fact that I have my own space, but we have come across some setbacks. Recently we discovered there was a snake in our common room area, a leak under our kitchen sink, and the shared bathroom randomly flooded. Maintenance has helped fix a majority of our issues, but overall the apartment isn't very cleanly. The area is constantly surrounded in litter and stray cats, there are roaches and spiders everywhere, and the rooms were dirty upon Move-in Day. The laundry facility has about 15 washers and 8 dryers, however, only one dryer works. Overall, if you can't afford an off campus apartment and want your own space and access to a kitchen, this is a good dorm for you. Otherwise, you would have a better experience in a place that the school doesn't provide.
