Hale Aloha Lehua Dorm Reviews at Hawaii

Hale Aloha Lehua is such a fantastic freshman experience, but due to the lack of air conditioning in the dorms, the windows have to stay open at all times for airflow, which can make for excessive exterior noise. Similar to all dorms with communal bathrooms, there are definitely times when the bathroom is not a pleasant place to be, but most of the time it is okay. Additionally, the towers are constructed in a circle format which really facilitates friendship and interactions.

From what I have experienced it's good. Not exactly to much different then the other dorms on campus or even dorms at other schools. They are in a good location and provide a good environment for all residence.

It wasn't a bad place to live, although occasionally we had creepy people accidentally being let into our dorm building. There were a few times that the fire alarm would be pulled because some wanted to pull a prank on us in the middle of the night. One time at a nearby dorm building, someone was held at knifepoint while in their car.

It's a very old building but it's one of the only options for freshmen who dorm and all the freshman dorms look the same. It's kind of a far walk from upper campus but it's nice to be by all the other dorms.
