Nassau and Suffolk Dorm Reviews at Hofstra

It’s an older building, so the bathrooms are not the nicest on campus and my lights required maintenance, but other than that I enjoy living here. It is a further walk compared to other dorms, but I personally love the location.

Because of COVID restrictions, we are not allowed to have guests in the residence halls. Regardless, my neighbors are very noisy. The upkeep of the dorm itself has been great. Our custodial staff at Hofstra is wonderful and dedicated to keeping our living spaces clean and safe for student use.

It's way in the back of the campus and a long walk from the academic buildings and commons area, but worth it. Large rooms/suites, co-ed, good security and parking. Highly recommend just be ready to walk.

The dorms are overall great; however, it could use some tweaks here and there. Lobbies could be better and lobby bathrooms could be bigger and more comfortable. The laundry rooms are almost always full and messy, but the kitchens and hallways are always kept clean. It is the furthest building from everything else which could be quite annoying sometimes.

It's a really good place to live, it's convenient for my work and it's always quiet during study periods. It has a big common room in and out of your suites. The bathrooms in the rooms are also large. They give you options if you would like a single room in a suite with two other people or you can live with 3 other people including yourself. You can also pick whoever you would like to live with and how your study habits are so you can be on a floor that accommodates to you.
