Finley Hall Dorm Reviews at OSU

Finley hall was the best start to my college experience. With its location on campus making it easy to get around, the cleanliness of the facility, and the amazing floormates I had made my college dorm experience perfect. I did not initially apply to live in Finley Hall; however, I am very grateful that my room assignment was in Finley.

I was in a two person room. They provide a website for roommates to make an agreement on. If I didn't get along with my roommate so well; I'd imagine that would be super helpful. The community kitchen on the first floor had just been updated and was super nice to cook in. Although turning the stoves on was confusing. The bathrooms weren't that bad. They were kept pretty clean but there was some times on the weekends when they got gnarly. I wish we had more events that were just for our building so I could've met and connected with more people.

The hall is pretty nice and spacious especially since the common areas had be renovated a short while back. Everyone is pretty friendly and there's many people who are majoring in conservation or care about the planet in this hall so that's helpful if you're looking for people who are like minded.

Staying at Finley has so far been an enjoyable experience. Even now, in the time of the coronavirus pandemic, I have found it well taken care of and have had no real issues. things that have bothered me are at the fault of my peers and not staff. Those complaints come from the occurrence of some students breaking covid restrictions, being loud and distracting when others have class or at quiet hours, and messes left in the common spaces.

Finley Hall was renovated last year, which is the most up to date dorm at the moment. The kitchen, lounges and rooms are nice. The bathrooms can be a little messy at times, but that's what you get in a college dorm. My experience has been very good so far.
