Meredith South Residence

It’s a fairly new building, pretty clean and friendly staff, no complains. The ambience is great, really good study spaces and places to hangout with friends. My favorite part was the single sound proof study rooms if you really needed to focus. There’s also a communal kitchen and the building has 2 retail food stores on the ground floor more

I was a former resident in Hillenbrand Hall as a part of the data mine learning community, I think the facilities present at hillenbrand are adequate however the location is a bit far from where classes are making it difficult sometimes to reach. more

Honors College & Residences South

It has been great. This feels like almost a hotel at times. If you can apply to the honors college, it is guaranteed spectacular housing and location. The only complaint I have is the noise level on the weekends because no matter where you are in the building, there are frat and sorority houses across the street. It is worth this for the weekend to have at max a 15 minute walk to anything on campus. more

Windsor

I’m in a small double. While the room is very small and took some serious work to fit two people in, it’s fully possible. My bed is not lofted and is on top of the dressers to clear up room. The room is what you make of it! Ours is very cozily decorated. Also, it’s nice to have light entering the room through the windows! Maintenance/cleaning staff is nice, but the building is kind of dark. more

Owen Hall

It was an OK residence Hall; I felt safe and there was a bus stop right outside that went to all major buildings. However it is very outdated and the washing machines rarely worked well. There was also no A/C which was terrible in 80-90 degree weather. more

Shreve is an old dorm in need of renovation. It does have A/C which is a big bonus as many other dorms do not. It is safe and provides a good sense of community. It was a very good experience living here. (important to note that it is close to food) more

It was a good experience especially for a first year college student. It was very close to everything on campus which allowed for easy travel to everything. The community that forms was very good and helped to get through the tough first year of school. more

Tarkington Hall

Tarkington Hall was a great place to live with its pros and cons. The pros being the size of the rooms and great location on campus near the acres, close to dining courts, and not too far from class. Some of the cons being the community bathroom was not always the cleanest and sometimes it could get really loud at night. more

Harrison Residence Hall

Harrison Residence Hall was a very interesting experience. Since there is much to do on the floors, the open areas are typically filled with a lot of people which provided a great opportunity to meet friends. It’s also one of the areas where the bus stops so even though it could be a 15 minute walk to class, it might only be a 3 minute bus ride. more

Griffin Hall North

Living in a brand new dorm has it's perks! Everything is brand new and I feel as if I have truly left my mark on the building. To be a first at a University is a rare occurrence, especially at a University like Purdue. Griffin Hall North is in one of the best locations on campus. It is less than a five minute walk to three out of the five dining hall! Conveniently, if I do not like what is on the menu for dinner there are a few chain restaurants near by: Chick-fil-a, Jersey Mikes, and Qdoba just to name a few! The walk around campus is not too shabby either. From the residential side of campus to the academic side, it is at max a seven minute walk! Not to mention the RA's! They are incredible. They are always there for you if you need them and try to make living during a pandemic as fun as possible while sill staying safe! more

Earhart (Amelia) Residence Hall

It wasn't the worst experience but definitely not the best. The dorm is pretty standard and the experience is typically what you'd expect for Purdue dorms. The only perks I'd say are that it's close to Earhart Dining Court and the common area is pretty chill. more

My dorm was close to the airport and as a flight major this was important to me. I was also in a learning community so there were a lot of flight majors on my floor. This helped me to form friendships in my first year. more

Meredith South Residence Hall

Meredith South is a well-maintained and good place to live. Compared to the dorms that my friends live in, Meredith South is significantly cleaner and the rooms are bigger. The only bad thing about it is the people who live on my floor make the bathrooms a mess and the private bathrooms are often closed due to the toilets being clogged. more

Winifred Parker Hall

The hall was brand new when I moved it and it was called Third Street Suites at the time. I shared a suite with 3 other girls along with one bathroom. The cleaning crew would come in weekly to help clean the common area( bathroom and shower). The walls were somewhat thin. I loved having Chick-Fil-A on the first floor of the building. I wish that there were more common areas to do work. Its location on campus was a perfect distance from the academic side of campus. This dorm was really nice for it be my first time living on campus. more

First Street Towers

I wasn't there long but it was a very nice place. Must see and review yourself to understand. The people and staff workers are very nice and the students are to. Be prepared to have a new adventure close by because there are always things to see and do. Everything can be closely gotten to and walked through fairly easy. Buildings are in good shape and bathrooms too. Food is excellent no matter where you go and it is always nice to have clean comfortable places to sit and eat. Classes are amazing. It's a must see. more

The people who work at the Honors College have been accommodating, patient, and kind when dealing with me and are always happy to answer questions or help me out when I have a problem. The dorms are generally clean, aside from the bathrooms getting a little out of hand on weekends occasionally, and are in the perfect spot on campus -- especially during the winter. more

Honors College South

I enjoyed my time living in the Honors College. The location is great, laundry services are available in the basement, and I never experienced any issues with people coming into the living quarters that were not supposed to. My custodian on my floor was absolutely wonderful, and she would stop while cleaning to ask about my day. I met a lot of my friends in this dorm, and it was easy to visit each other. All first year honors students are required to live in the honors dorm, and it is honestly a great place to start your time at Purdue. more

Cary Quadrangle East

A few things went unfixed for a time in my dorm room. I stayed there last year and this year and a few things were not even fixed between school years. Besides that, Cary Quad East has been relatively nice. Many dorms at Purdue still do not have air conditioning, but Cary Quad East does, so that is a big bonus. more
