In general it's fine as a freshman dorm. However, it is somewhat old and isn't always the cleanest, particularly in the bathrooms. While they are cleaned regularly, there are quite a lot of bugs and everything is somewhat worn. The amenities can also be somewhat lacking, for example air conditioning and a good kitchen. However, if you are willing to look past these things, it's a relatively standard for a college dorm.

It can get incredibly hot here, bring a fan. Bathrooms are cleaned about weekly and are publicly shared. Do your laundry really early or late in the day as it seems like there are always clothes in the washers.
