Blitman Residence Commons

The dorms are very spacious. The dorms are double and there is a restroom inside which is pretty nice. Also one of the dining halls is in the building, so that's also convenient. There is also a kitchen in the third floor which anyone can use. more

Burdett Avenue Residence Hall

Being that we are in a pandemic it still had the "college" dorm atmosphere. However, the Burdett Avenue Residence Hall is very far from the main campus areas and being such a large dorm makes connection with others difficult more

Quadrangle

Quad was nice because you were so close to everything on campus! You could roll out of bed and be in class or at the student union or at the gym within 5 minutes. The rooms are very very small. Common spaces felt like a closet and just was a room with a chair in it. The kitchen space was not functional as it was so old. The microwave worked though. There was a small table that could fit about 2 comfortable as well. The stairwells are tight which is tough for move in. more

Hall Hall

2 Reviews

In general it's fine as a freshman dorm. However, it is somewhat old and isn't always the cleanest, particularly in the bathrooms. While they are cleaned regularly, there are quite a lot of bugs and everything is somewhat worn. The amenities can also be somewhat lacking, for example air conditioning and a good kitchen. However, if you are willing to look past these things, it's a relatively standard for a college dorm. more

Cary Hall

2 Reviews

Cary Hall has been a great place to live overall. It is very close to a dining hall, which makes it very convenient to get food after classes, clubs, and just in general. On top of that, it is one of the closest freshman dorms to the lecture halls which also comes in handy. As a freshman, my overall living experience has exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend Cary Hall to upcoming students. more

Barton Hall

1 Review

Barton Hall is the best dorm to get as a freshman. It was so much fun! The suite bathrooms are the best ones to get. Your hall mates quickly become your friends. The study rooms there are also a great place to do your homework or study. more

Rensselaer Apartment Housing Project A (RAHP A)

1 Review

Noise is minimal, likely because Covid-19 restrictions have severely dampened party-goers. There is no air conditioning, but fans are allowed and the weather shifts quickly, making the lack bearable. The apartments come with couches, 4 small rooms, and one bathroom. For those living by themselves, bring a set of groceries and you'll be living fairly comfortable if you don't have many needs. "Staff" changes as the RAs do, but they're relatively amicable. more

The Quandrangle "Quad"

I have a unique experience as I'm living here under COVID restrictions, but I'm having a really good time. My low rating for common area is because we're not allowed in the lounges or kitchens (too small for social distancing). I really like it here. more

Crockett Hall

Good hall. Could be improved in terms of the quality of certain amenities, such as the showers, heating, and the frequency that the hall is cleaned. The rooms were also quite small, and things like the blinds and carpeting were low quality. Still had a great time, it's what you make of it. more
