Frontier Hall

13 Reviews

In the college dorm, a vibrant tapestry of lives intertwined. Narrow corridors echoed with the hum of youthful energy and late-night debates. The scent of instant noodles and coffee lingered, marking the shared journey of countless study sessions. Posters and polaroids adorned the walls, offering glimpses into personal stories. Laughter and camaraderie flowed from open doors, while quiet moments of introspection shaped newfound independence. The dorm was a microcosm of growth, a place where friendships solidified and dreams took shape. Amidst the chaos and comfort, it became a haven for forging connections and embracing the transformative college experience. more

17th Avenue Residence Hall

Being in the covid-19 pandemic made it tough for anyone living in dorms. However, the dorm was nice and didn't feel too crammed to me. The dining hall also seems to be the best on campus which is a major plus for the building. more

Comstock Hall

7 Reviews

Comstock Hall is definitely quieter than the louder dorms on campus. This hall is all about location! It is a couple minutes away from a huge transit stop, and so many class buildings. The food here is okay, and just what you’d expect dorm food to taste like. Overall a very good choice. more

Sanford

6 Reviews

Sanford was not my first choice of dormitory, but I was pleasantly surprised with my time there. The dining hall, located in the same building, was the best on campus. There was always enough food and a pretty good variety. Also, the small market in the commons was a great solution to late-night study snacks. The bathrooms and common areas were sometimes dirty. However, the location was the best part of Sanford. Dinkytown is awesome. more

Mark G. Yudof Hall

4 Reviews

It's very nice that Mark G. Yudof Hall is sort of in the middle of campus. It doesn't require much time to go to places. I enjoy that it's quite quiet and that there's not a lot of problems, however there are some small minor inconveniences that are usually handled pretty quickly by the maintenance stuff. more

17th Avenue Dorm

2 Reviews

One of the more updated dorms on east bank that many student will try to get into freshman year. In good proximity to 3 bus stops and a short walk from Dinkytown and many of the buildings where freshman classes are usually held. Basement has free laundry, study area, and average kitchen to use. more

Comstock

1 Review

Comstock was recommended to my by my friend from high school to came to the U a year before I did. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I arrived as I didn't have a campus tour coming into my freshman year. I live on G floor, which is the same floor as the dining hall. One of the only downside is we may be one of the only floors that doesn't have a community room. The dining hall has a common area but it usually has a lot of traffic until the dining hall closes at 8pm and isn't ideal for studying outside your dorm. I found that the computer lab on floor M is a really good study spot. There's also a common area in the basement which is good for social gatherings. One of the best parts of Comstock is that it is on a good, quiet part of campus. It's close to the main part of campus so it's a short under ten minute walk whereas it's a twenty minute walk from superblock. more

Radius at 15th

1 Review

The weekends are very busy but fairly quiet during the week. The location is very close to many restaurants and Minnesota sites such as the stone arch bridge. The apartments are pretty much all the same size depending on your room type selection and hold a washer and drier unit and a full kitchen. more
