Hinman

I really like where Hinman is located. There is a dining hall in the community and it take less than 5 minutes to the lecture hall. The buildings are clean, and it only gets noisy during the weekend. There are 3 rooms in a suite with one shared bathroom. more

Mountainview College

Mountainview was a great place to meet new people and it was also a good proximity to the academic buildings. The RAs were always willing to help if needed and I enjoyed the suite living style because it allowed me to be social if I wanted or alone if I needed. more

Oneida Hall

Oneida Hall in College in the Woods was fun, although it needed renovations in stairways and bathrooms. College in the Woods community is fantastic, lots of fun activitiesfir our community. Sand volleyball pit is fun. Met great forever friends in laundry room. more

The Newing community is a very popular one amongst students because of its high ratings. Delaware Hall more specifically is mostly quiet, clean, and safe. It is a good distance away from the Lecture Hall, and there are bike racks outside the building. more

Lehman Hall

The dorms are a little bit packed and there's only 1 bathroom per suite which is annoying because there's 6 people in a suite. There is no natural light that comes in and poor ventilation throughout the building. more

Dickinson Community: Digman Hall

I highly recommend staying in Digman Hall located in the Dickinson community. Next to the dorm is C4 which is the food court, and across the dorm is there are 2 bus stops. The (RRT) OCCT bus station that can take you to Walmart and Target and the one next to it is the public bus station for bus 57 and the Shuttle for UClub which can get you to Chipotle, Chase, and PlanetFitness. Next to the dorm is the Mohawk bus station and there’s also the CIW food court. I highly recommend staying there since the dorm is close to pretty much everything, and digman is the newest building too so everything is clean and nice. more

Bingham

Quiet during the day but very loud at night. A lot of kids go out and party at night pretty much everyday of the week and can be very loud/inconsiderate when they return back to the dorm. Also, this is the furthest dorm building from classes, which is kinda meh. more

Broome Hall

My experience at Broome Hall has been enjoyable this year. Being on a floor with students all in the same program as me has created an experience that allows me to bond with students that I see on the daily. Not living in a suite allows the students to congregate in the common areas as well as see everyone as I go to class or simply hang out in the commons. Although it is slightly far away from the majority of classes, it is only a 10 minute walk to get to classes. more

Onondaga

Onondaga is a good dorm to live in except there is no AC at all and during the winter the heat is constantly on so temperatures are always around 75-80 degrees. Other than that it is clean and not a bad place to live! more

Filmore Hall

Filmore is great, all of the Hillside Community allows students to live mostly independent with some aid, such as one would receive in a well kept apartment complex. Additionally the opportunity for community building is great for both outgoing and not so out going people (such as myself). more

This is my second year living on campus, and my first year living in Endicott Hall. The location is fantastic because it is right next to the dining hall. I love living in the Newing community, but living during COVID has given me increased anxiety so it may be safer to live off-campus. more

Dickinson O'Connor is a great community to live in. It is further from the buildings that hold most of their classes than other living communities, however, the Dickinson community is new and has many events with very welcoming and engaging members. more

Rafuse Residence Hall

The Rafuse building in the Dickinson community is very up to date. The rooms are large and comfortable. Also, the location is ideal because it is directly next to the dining hall. The building is always clean and well kept. more

Johnson Hall @ Dickinson

Dickinson buildings in general are really clean and have a nice suite layout. There are several common rooms on each floor (6-7 floors in each building) and there is air conditioning! The community at Dickinson is also very welcoming. more

College-in-the-Woods

It was an outdated dorm when I lived there my freshman and sophomore year. Some of the couches had holes in them and were definitely not cleaned. You could tell the rugs were super old and not cleaned well. The floors were never mopped properly because there was always a few layers of dirt and dust on the floors. The kitchen in the dorm was always dirty and smelt weird. more

If you can get a corner suite, the common room is very spacious. The desks are really nice as they are equipped with built in lights. If you're on the first floor and your suite is by the entrances, it gets really loud as people often go to parties late at night on the weekend. more

My experience was great, I made a lot of friends. There was plenty of space for relaxing, smaller spaces for studying. Minimal areas to cook. Bathrooms were private and shared between 5 other people with more bathrooms for the whole floor down the hall. more

Glimmerglass House

Very quiet and safe building. Staff takes a while to fix things, but they get the job done. RA's are wonderful and very nice and helpful. I just wish the interiors were a little more updated and more well taken care of. more
